Pierce Gulley is currently a student at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He will graduate in May of 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate Communications and and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. Pierce is currently studying in order to pursue a career in Marketing or Business utilizing skills in social media and his knowledge of the Spanish language.

May 2012-August 2012- Intern at moss + ross Consulting Firm– Evaluated webpages of companies in m+r’s field in order to improve their company website . Researched websites, evaluated them on content and quality, compiled the research into a comprehensible document, and wrote a proposition for m+r’s website based on the research.
Corporate Communications Courses
Fundamental Human Communication– Studied the field of communications and its best practices. Studied public speaking and effective presentation strategies. Fundamental Skills in Media Arts and Design I- Learned photo editing, brochure and magazine layout, and logo creation on Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Fundamental Skills in Media Arts and Design II– Learned web design and video production on Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe Final Cut. Introduction to Corporate Communications- Studied the vast field of Corporate Communications and its functions in print, broadcast, and interactive media. Learned the strategic planning process
Information and Communication Technologies– Studied communication and information technology and their best practices within Corporate Communications. Created and maintained a research blog and authored/designed an E-book about the best practices of social media for business.
Spanish Grammar and Communication- Studied grammatical structure of Spanish and its application to modern spoken and written Spanish
Spanish Oral and Written Communication- Created multiple public speaking presentations, as well as written compositions that covered Spanish culture, literature and history
Business Spanish- Studied international business in Spanish-speaking nations in addition to business terminology used in those places. Practiced interviews, composition of business letters and emails and interpretation/interpretation.
Spanish Literature- Studied works of art by Spanish authors and their cultural and historical context.
